Run Army more than just a fun Run.

By taking part in Run Army and fundraising, every runner can make a difference to the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

We invite the community to join us in recognising the ANZAC spirit and push themselves physically and mentally alongside current serving soldiers, and our First Responders from the Queensland Police, Queensland Ambulance, Queensland Fire, Surf Life Saving Queensland and the State Emergency Service. Run Army has already raised over $500,000 in support of Legacy, and hopes to continue this fundraising effort for charities supporting Police, Ambulance, Fire, Surf and SES veterans and their families.

Run Army is like no other event.

Runners and walkers will then travel past an array of the latest and greatest military armoured vehicles and hardware. There will be helicopter fly pasts, Army aerial drones overhead, and the Army’s inflatable boats on the Brisbane River. Brisbane will be draped in camouflage to support and and raise vital funds for serving members, veterans and the wider community. Run Army acknowledges the commitment of our soldiers who are developing their mental and physical resilience, or returning from injury and illness.

The event’s timing, the weekend before ANZAC, highlights one of the most important days of the year, when the Army, and all Australians, pause to remember the selfless sacrifice of so many to preserve today’s way of life. The Australian Army has deep ties with the Brisbane community, and Run Army is a chance to strengthen those bonds over the Anzac Day weekend.

Legacy, Queensland Police, Queensland Ambulance and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services are the beneficiaries of funds raised from Run Army’s actual and virtual events.
